The deck will be made of planks that are long and wide. These planks will be attached to the framing joists with 16d nails. She would like to design the deck to minimize the cost of the planks and nails.

Nails are sold by the pound at the local hardware store, so Tatiana needs to figure out how many pounds of 16d nails to tell her father to buy. She has gathered the following information.
