Tyler asked 10 students at his school how much time in minutes it takes them to get from home to school. Determine if each of these dot plots could represent the data Tyler collected. Explain your reasoning for each dot plot.

  1. A dot plot ranging from 1 to 20 with data as follows: 1-4, 7, 9, 11, 14-15,17, 19 no data, 5-6, 8, 12-13, 16, 18, 20 one dot. At 10 there are 2 dots.
  2. A dot plot ranging from 20 to 300 with data as follows: 20-60, 100, 140, 160, 220, 260, 280 no data. 80, 90, 120, 180, 200, 240, 270, 300 one dot. 150 two dots.
  3. A dot plot ranging from -10 to 20 with data as follows: -5 (1), 5-6(1), 8(1), 10 (3), 12-13 (1), 18(1). No other data.
  4. A dot plot ranging from 1 to 20 with one dot at 5, 6, 10, 16, 18, and 20 and no other data.
