Activity 2: Write
We will use focus questions to revise our writing.
Revise your rough draft using the following questions to guide your revisions:
Did I engage the reader by setting out the problem, situation, or observation from a new perspective?
Did I include narrative techniques (text structure, dialogue, frame, etc.)?
Did I appropriately sequence the events in my writing?
Is the voice of the character I chose for my rewrite authentic?
Did I use purposeful word choice, descriptive language, and a variety of sentence structures (periodic or parallel structure, for example)?
Did I provide a conclusion to my vignette that follows the original story but illuminates the tale from my character’s perspective?
