Development Unit: Artificial Intelligence

How is artificial intelligence affecting our world? In this unit, we will examine a broad selection of texts to explore how artificial intelligence impacts society. We will refine our abilities to read, delineate, evaluate, and write arguments to explore the ever-expanding reach of artificial intelligence in our daily lives. Throughout the unit, we will address various aspects of artificial intelligence, considering first the following question: What is artificial intelligence? We will then consider more specifically how artificial intelligence affects aspects of society, such as the job market, decision-making, and individual privacy. As we develop arguments about the topic and a subtopic, we will determine our individual responses to the Central Question: How is artificial intelligence affecting our world?
