Activity 1: Discuss

We will set goals and create a plan for this lesson so that we can be successful on our pathway presentation.

Review your group’s norms and respond to the following questions:

  1. What do we need to do to successfully complete the Culminating Task (e.g., gather more sources; analyze sources; develop claims; determine our task, purpose, and audience; draft our presentation; revise our presentation; edit our presentation; lead a conference with our teacher)?

  2. How are we, individually, going to contribute to our group during this lesson?

  3. How will we know we have met our goal at the end of the period?
