Activity 1: Read – Discuss – Write

We will read a model vignette and examine how the writer creates a vivid imagined world in a limited number of words by using effective literary techniques.

Read and annotate the model vignette. As a class, discuss what makes it a strong narrative text.

Activity 2: Read – Write

We will use ideas from the model vignette to make revisions to our own vignettes.

Select and emulate at least two techniques from the model vignette in your revisions of your vignette.
