Section 2: Overview

My Options

In our research teams, we will write two new annotated bibliographies on articles we have researched or programs we want to apply to. We will begin creating our individual portfolios by drafting our résumés, as well as conducting research on our postsecondary pathway and a specific program of choice.

  • Lesson 1:

    We will set group norms with our pathway groups and begin writing our résumés.

  • Lesson 2:

    We will continue drafting our résumés and refine what we have created in our résumés by using strong verbs.

  • Lesson 3:

    We will work in our research teams to continue reading, analyzing, and evaluating a text from the pathway text set. We will assess the text’s credibility, bias, and accuracy.

  • Lesson 4:

    We will research new resources regarding our intended postsecondary pathway.

  • Lesson 5:

    We will write annotated bibliographies for our individually researched resources.

  • Lesson 6:

    We will research scholarships based on our pathways and institutions of choice.

  • Lesson 7:

    We will revise our résumés and annotated bibliographies while submitting practice applications to programs and scholarships of our choosing.

  • Lesson 8:

    We will review feedback on the Section Diagnostic. We will also review how to summarize, identify central ideas in a material, and include necessary components of our annotated bibliographies.

  • Lesson 9:

    We will share the understanding we have gained through our independent reading and continue reading our texts.
