Activity 1: Write

We will each write a literary analysis of our own narrative story.

Access the Culminating Task Checklist and review the second part of the prompt.

You will write a literary analysis of your work that address the following criteria:

  • clearly states the message or central idea of your story

  • identifies and explains how your research is evident in your narrative

  • describes the specific narrative techniques used

  • forms and supports a claim about the effectiveness of the narrative choices

  • uses appropriate syntax, grammar, and mechanics

Activity 2: Write

We will submit our writing portfolios for the Culminating Task.

Submit your writing portfolio. Be sure to include the following:

  • annotated bibliography of your research sources

  • original draft vignette

  • revised draft vignette

  • literary analysis of vignette

  • outline of narrative story, including narrative sequence

  • original draft narrative story

  • revised draft narrative story

  • literary analysis of narrative story
