Activity 1: Write – Discuss
We will combine the components we have been working on and make final revisions to our presentations.
Work with your research team to pull together the various components of your presentation.
Examine the Revise Presentation section of the Foundation Unit Research and Presentation Guide. Work with your research team to make final revisions to your presentation.
Activity 2: Present
We will rehearse our presentations.
Examine the Rehearse Your Presentation section of the Foundation Unit Research and Presentation Guide.
Now practice the delivery of the presentation with your research team. You might need to do this several times in order to fine tune the presentation for the following points:
Does the presentation answer the Task Question: What are the conditions that caused or allowed change to occur in your pathway topic, and who were the change agents?
Does the presentation clearly show the inquiry questions, findings, and conclusions and include sufficient evidence to support your key points?
Is the presentation interesting and powerful, thus engaging the audience?
Does the presentation fit within the 5–7 minute requirement of the task, also allowing for a few questions from the audience? If not, do you need to consider removing or adding information?
Be prepared to deliver your presentation to the class in the following lesson.
